My New Zoo

Mixing influences from classic english bands like (The Police, The Kinks) with 80’s Punk and Wave of former Yugoslavia My New Zoo create their very own vision of modern rock music. Labelled as an indierock-band by press and media the founding members Danijel (voc) and Robert (gui) describe My New Zoo like this: Imagine Keith Richards beating up the crap out of Paul McCartney in the rhythm of Roxanne while The Kinks watch the whole scene.

With world-domination on their minds they created a mean yet effective plan: the self-titled debut cd creates an addiction and seeing My New Zoo's live gives the audience the rest. If you like the CD youll love the live performance. Bass playing horses galloping to the beat given by a manic monkey. No matter if someones into indie-rock, pop, dance, metal or old-school rock all will be satisfied. In numerous live shows they became a sharp tool in rocking the crowd. That has already been recognised by established acts like FIDDLER’S GREEN and SEAL who had My New Zoo as their opening band.

Right now they are prepairing themselves for recording their second album due to release in spring 2007.

In the meantime national radio Bayern 3 voted them as Newcomers of the year and plays their song ‘Sunshine on Cuba’ featuring Fidel Castro, Che Guevara and Emilio Zapata. Unfortunately they still do not have record deal so fans are forced to buy their cd online or at the shows.
